Veena Works

 

 

Located in Basavanagudi, Veena Works is a store for musical instruments, which is one of the few places in Bangalore where Veenas are crafted from scratch.  Dhindora focuses on the legacy of this store with the waning significance of the seven-stringed instrument as a backdrop. In a conversation with Mr. Raju, the current owner of the workshop, interesting facets of veena making unravel. Classical musician, Prashanth Iyengar shares from his abundant knowledge and speaks of the ontological aspects of Veena and the music that it produces.
