Backyard Maths with Pallanguzhi

 

 

A game for two, Pallanguzhi or Alaguli Mane in Kannada, Kuzhipara in Malayalam and Picchala Peetha in Telugu is a traditional mancala game of Southern India. 

 

An indoor game from the era of the Chola Empire, it hones hand and mind dexterity of the young and the old alike.
